Joyful Moment #6 – Feeding the Ducks

The other day my family and I went on a fun walk that crosses over a golf course to a small lake. The lake is filled with different types of ducks constantly waiting, hoping for someone to give them food. My sister and I brought bags of seeds to throw at them and watch the joy in their little faces as they swam to eat it. These little guys will go to any means to get some flax seeds. πŸ™‚ They will fly from one side to the other, swim into the water, and stick their heads under the water to grab one. When I was really small, ducks were my favorite animal and I slept with 3 stuffed ducks at night. I was fascinated at the pretty colors on the males, and the pretty eyes on the females. Ducks are so simple, but at the same time so beautiful. This moment brought joy to the ducks and it brought a smile to my face. May we All shake off our negative energy like water off a duck’s back! Sending you joy vibes!

      2. You excel in different ways. The difference is delightful. Each style will appeal to different people. I love that you give a slice of real life in your prose, and even a photo. You also brought these kinds of elements to the collaborative poem. For me, that helped make it golden.
