Fear is an important subject for many reasons. I believe that you cannot do anything worthwhile with doubt and fear in the back of your head. Running away from your fears is not a good solution to counter it. Fear is strong, and if you keep running away from it, it will eventually catch up with you and engulf you with doubt and anger. You have to face your fears head-on in order to get rid of them once and for all.
Acknowledging your fear is the first and most important step in order to defeat the fear. You cannot be in denial of something and then try to fight it. You must be honest with yourself and tell yourself the truth. You also have to be careful with this step; when you focus on your fear too much, you tend it to give it power with all your thoughts. So make sure to understand what you’re afraid of and not to give it too much attention and power. A lot of times your fear may be silly and you’re mind is just telling you to be afraid. When this happens, you can imagine what would happen in the worst case scenario. If your fear is silly, than it won’t be bad at all, and you’ll realize how strange you were being and you can just shake it off.
In order to defeat your fears, you must stay calm in order to think clearly. Fear can do strange things to your mind and if you want to be at your 100%, you must have a clear mind. You have to focus on your belief in yourself.
Remember these steps; acknowledge your fear without giving it too much power, stay calm and focus on your belief in yourself. Follow these steps and you will diminish your fear and you will have a newfound confidence in yourself that you’ve never had before.
